Girl With A Pearl Earring

Based on the stage adaptation of Tracy Chevalier's best selling novel and later an acclaimed film Girl With A Pearl Earring opens late September 2008 at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket.

Johannes Vermeer (played by Adrian Dunbar - Hear My Song, The Crying Game, My Left Foot) is the greatest painter of his time. When he hires Griet (played by Kimberley Nixon - Sophy in BBC's Cranford) as a house help.

It is not long before Griet starts to help Johannes in his studio, learning the art of painting by watching the master.
